All certified candidates (except one) for L.A. City Council District 2 have agreed to participate in this online candidate forum.

As a reminder, the CD2 incumbent is L.A. City Council President Paul Krekorian, who is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to office.

This will be the first open-seat election in Council District 2 since 2009.

8:30pm – Each candidate delivers closing statement

There are -7- Candidates Running for L.A. City Council District 2 Seat in the March 5th Primary.

Voters will elect candidates in a nonpartisan primary with runoff elections scheduled for Tuesday, November 5.

Seven of the fifteen seats on L.A. City Council will be up for election including Council District 2, which includes North Hollywood and the east San Fernando Valley.

As a reminder, municipal elections in California are officially nonpartisan; candidates’ party affiliations do not appear on the ballot.
