We are proud to share with the community that SVANC held a very successful Spring Festival in partnership with CD6 and the Sun Valley Park! We want to thank all the volunteers who made this event possible. The SVANC Board members who organized this event had a great time preparing it, but it doesn't compare to the fun we all had seeing the Poly High students being involved with hosting the activities for the younger children. On March 25, 2022, we lost a long time community leader, mentor and friend, as Michael Luke O'Gara passed away at the age of 82. We are heartbroken, and send our sincere condolences to his family; his beloved wife, Barbara who also served on the SVANC board, his sons, Michael, Sean, & Matt and his grandchildren, Michael, Liam & Katie.

The redistricting process now underway could remove your home from your present Councilmember's district, and change who the Councilmembers are for SVANC. Electoral districts at every level of government are reconfigured every ten years to reflect changes in population as determined by the U.S. Census. The City's Redistricting Commission is tasked with dividing the City into 15 districts of roughly equal population, while considering other factors, such as geographical boundaries and communities of interest.
